The Ultimate Blessing in Disguise

The Face of Fear didn’t stand a chance versus the Unity and Love or Sport of AKA.

We said it from the start…we are One and Sport is our vehicle to get through tough times.

By the AKA numbers…

  • 452 (unique) Kids

  • 205 Kids daily across 4 sites

  • 75 (unique) Staff

  • 21,000 Steps/Kid on average each day

  • 0 - Confirmed Covid-19 Cases

We showed perseverance with no Field Trips, social distancing restrictions and uncertainty.

We showed resilience in a world of utter hysteria - left right up down, what’s right what’s wrong, masks or no masks, are you sick are you not, how long will this pandemic go on.

65 days of sports, games, togetherness, call it luck, call it forces of positive energy, AKA’s ability to adapt and come together is the blessing in disguise.

There’s a good chance these difficult times aren’t going away any time soon.  Fall and Winter will be challenging as well.  But with the right mindset and attention to Just Do It, we will all persevere.
