We are always looking for positive, energetic people to join our team! Applicants should have some experience with sports, fitness and/or working with children ages 5-13. Responsibilities include working on specific sport skills as well as organizing games and activities.

Our Positions
All Sports Camp Director
The All Sports Camp Director oversees the daily operations, staff, and camper experience at AKA’s flagship summer program. This role ensures a safe, organized, high-energy environment by leading coaches, managing schedules, coordinating field trips, supporting families, and maintaining the overall quality and culture of the AKA experience. The Director sets the tone each day — creating a fun, positive, and inclusive atmosphere where kids thrive.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
All Sports Camp Assistant Director
The Assistant Director supports all daily operations of the All Sports Camp, working closely with the Camp Director to ensure a smooth, safe, and fun experience for every camper. This role helps manage staff, oversee activities, coordinate schedules, communicate with families, and maintain the energetic, positive environment AKA is known for. The Assistant Director is a key leader on site, stepping in wherever needed to keep the day running at its best.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
All Sports Camp Coach (Lead Coach & Roamer)
Lead Coach: Lead Coaches run the action on the field, guiding campers through structured sports stations, games, and daily activities. They provide instruction, model teamwork, encourage participation, and help create a positive, safe, and fun environment. Lead Coaches set the pace for the day and ensure every camper feels included and supported.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Roamer: Roamer Coaches float between groups and activities, supporting Lead Coaches and keeping the camp day running smoothly. They jump into games, assist with supervision, help resolve conflicts, and bring energy wherever it’s needed. Roamers are the flexible, high-impact players who keep the entire camp experience upbeat and safe.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
All Sports Camp Junior Coach
Junior Coaches assist staff, engage with campers, and learn the core skills of coaching in a supportive, hands-on environment. They help run games, support sport stations, model positive behavior, and bring energy to every activity. This role is designed as a leadership development opportunity for young coaches-in-training.
Pay: Stipend (upon completion of 150 hours) and immediate opportunity to coach.
Speed of Play Coach
Speed of Play Coaches lead fast-paced, skill-focused sessions designed to challenge and develop middle school athletes. They run structured drills, small-sided games, and leadership activities that build confidence, teamwork, and sport IQ. Coaches create an encouraging, high-energy environment where athletes push themselves, learn to lead, and elevate their overall game.
Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
SEALs (Sports Enthusiasts at accelerated levels) Coach
SEALs Coaches lead one of AKA’s more advanced youth programs, designed for young athletes ready for higher-level instruction and faster progression. This role requires strong coaching experience, sport knowledge, and the ability to guide motivated kids through focused skill development, movement training, and early leadership challenges.
Coaches run age-appropriate but elevated drills, teamwork activities, and progression-based stations — all while fostering confidence, discipline, and a love for sport. SEALs is where young athletes take the next step, and coaches are essential in creating a fun, safe, and intentionally high-level environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
School Release Coach
School Release Coaches lead full-day programming when school is out, creating a safe, structured, and high-energy environment for kids. They run multi-sport games, skill stations, team challenges, and creative activities while keeping campers engaged, supported, and active throughout the day.
Coaches adapt to a wide variety of ages and activities, maintain a positive atmosphere, assist with transitions, and help ensure each release day runs smoothly. This role is perfect for energetic leaders who enjoy fast-paced days and making an immediate impact.
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
After School Coach
After School Coaches deliver high-energy, skill-based sports sessions across our partner school districts, leading students through focused instruction, teamwork activities, and fun, active gameplay. Coaches run drills, set up equipment, manage transitions, and create a positive, encouraging environment for both Elementary and Middle School students.
They adapt lessons to different ages and abilities, keep students engaged and safe, and bring enthusiasm to every session. After School Coaches play a key role in helping kids build confidence, learn new sports, and stay active after the school day ends.
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
Our Programs
AKA All Sports Summer Camp: 7:00am - 6:00pm | Monday - Friday | June 8th - September 4th, 2026
Each week features a different sport and a fun field trip, giving campers the chance to learn new skills, try new activities, build confidence, and make friends in a positive, supportive environment.
Campers rotate through sport-specific instruction, active games, creative stations, free play, teamwork challenges, and cool-down/reading time — all designed to keep them moving, growing, and having fun. Our staff lead with enthusiasm and purpose, creating an atmosphere where kids feel safe, included, and encouraged to step outside their comfort zones.In addition to weekly sports themes, campers enjoy exciting field trips led by AKA coaches who ensure safety, engagement, and plenty of memorable moments.

AKA After School Programs: 3:00pm - 6:00pm | Monday-Thursday | September 2025 - May 2026
AKA After School brings high-quality, skill-based sports programming directly to schools across Anoka-Hennepin, Centennial, Spring Lake Park, Mahtomedi, and Private Schools. Each session highlights a specific sport — from basketball, floor hockey, soccer, golf, and lacrosse to tennis, pickleball, archery, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and more. Programs rotate throughout the year, giving students the chance to develop new skills, discover new interests, and stay active in a fun, supportive environment.
Classes are designed for Elementary and Middle School students, blending sport-specific instruction with high-energy games, teamwork, and confidence-building challenges. Our coaches create an upbeat, engaging atmosphere where every student feels encouraged to play, learn, and grow.

School Release Days: 7:00am - 6:00pm | Monday - Friday | October 2025 - April 2026
AKA School Release Days offer a full day of active, structured fun for students when school is closed. These programs take place at select locations and provide a safe, engaging option for families who need childcare on non-school days.
Each release day features a blend of multi-sport games, skill stations, team challenges, creative activities, and high-energy play, all led by trained AKA coaches who keep kids moving, learning, and laughing. Depending on the date and location, some School Release Days may also include special themes or off-site field trips.
Designed for Elementary and Middle School students, these programs ensure kids stay active, social, and supported — while families get a reliable solution on days when school isn’t in session.
