Keep moving... idle hands are the devil's playground

2020 AKASPORT RECAP LETTER
December 31, 2020

To our AKA Families and Partners:

In our 16th year of active youth sports and physical education programming, AKASPORT pivoted and prevailed, and finished 2020 strong, in a year that will go down as one of the worst in history. None of this was easy, for anyone, though I am proud to express how we dug deep and provided for hundreds of kids, families, schools and communities in the toughest of times.

A deserved nod to the Staff.  From program Directors to After School Coaches, Lead Coaches and Assistants, and to our Volunteers, I am proud to look back at the resilience and strength that each one of our leaders embraced.

And at the end of it all, Parents and Family members, we could not have done it without all of you. Thank you for your positive parenting and your trust and support in AKA.

State of the Business… look Forward!
The AKA School Time, All Sports Summer Camps, Speed of Play : Leadership through Fitness, After School and Holiday Break Day programs were all a success despite the restrictions, limitations and subsequent fear looming throughout the year.

Window of Opportunity … Idle hands are the devil’s playground
We need to keep our kids moving.  Period.  From AKA’s perspective, if there is one thing we have learned from this pandemic, it’s that kids (and parents) need active outlets. We now have a window of opportunity as families, schools and facilities across America are in search of new active experiences in youth sport.  We know that we have the platform to engage us all and to set the course for so many and their bright futures.

The Future … If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go far, go together!
In 2021, our goal is to recreate the energy and excitement in our programming that was planned for 2020 but also accelerate the business mindset and align ourselves with a greater network of support.

If any of you parents would ever care to sit down and expand on the potential that we can have for you, your families and/or your business, please don’t hesitate to reach me any time. It would mean a lot and would help us all in the long run. Thanks again and have a safe and Happy New Year.

All the Best,
