going into Grades 7th-10th
coed ages 12-15
Speed of Play (SOP) was design to help older kids make the most out of an active summer by encouraging them to work hard, stay active, and mentor younger kids.
Led by AKA's Director, Chris Schulz, participants are given the opportunity to train and play in an All Sports Camp setting, learn valuable leadership skills, and receive personal mentorship along the way.
Participants work for 8 weeks during the 12-week All Sports Camp session and play a greater role in the Community Appreciation Night by helping out with fundraising projects.
Sport-specific goals and training programs will be overseen by Coach Schulz. There is no need for extra equipment, except ice skates when necessary.
Designed as a 4-day a week, half-day program that takes place in the morning. Individuals will are required to meet fitness goals, with tests administered to participants throughout the summer.
T-shirt & Certificate
Each participant will receive an AKASPORT t-shirt. Each participant that completes their program receives a program certificate.
Access to all AKASPORT facilities within the National Sports Center.
Ping Pong, games, study tables, and rest area for SOP participants to relax and hang out.
